Pyramid tiebreaks?

I just finished a Pyramid match, where we each won one single match by a score of 2-1. The message I got said I lost. I had assumed with a time match I wouldn't advance and that could be construed as a loss, but is there some additional tiebreak beyond games won that would actually make the result officially a loss?

No, it's a tie. You must win against a higher player, so that is why it says you lost. Could be changed.

Exactly. When the tiebreaker still doesn't break the tie, the player highest on the Pyramid wins. You have to really beat him or her to move up.
